English Workshops - Supporting Your Child's Reading
Dear Parents
We would like to bring your attention to two workshops, which will both be focusing on reading and how you can further support your child in this area. There will be 2 separate workshops and parents are welcome to attend both. The first workshop is aimed at parents with children from F3 to Year 2 whilst the subsequent session will outline how to support children aged from Year 3 to Year 6. The details are as follows: F3 to Year 2 - AP1 Gym at 8:10 a.m. on Tuesday, 24th of September. Year 3 to Year 6 - AP1 Gym at 8:10 a.m. on Thursday 26th of September. The content will focus mainly on the following points: - An overview of how reading is taught in our school; - The importance of reading with understanding; - How you can support your child with reading at home. The expectation is that each workshop will be completed by 9:00 a.m. although there will be opportunities for further questions until 9:30 a.m.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Best Regards, Mr Jonathan Smith and Ms Hannah Lewis – English Subject Leaders
